8 March 1954 - 10 April 2021

We would like to thank everyone for the many messages of love and support that have been sent to us following the devastating loss of our beloved Mum and Nana.

Only two months after losing our dear Dad, the pain was only just subsiding through the support we shared and the time we were spending with Mum. The life and opportunities we were all looking forward to sharing with her helping to get us through. Now she is gone as well, and it just does not seem possible for her to be taken away from us this soon.

The most wonderful, loving, caring, wife, Mum, Nana and friend that anyone could ever wish for to have in their lives. She has always put everyone and everything before herself, and this was now meant to be her time to be put first.

We can only take comfort from the thought that she is back with Dad now, her soul mate. They are both together again now, happy, safe and in love more than ever, and are watching over us side by side.

We will do our best to get through this and continue living our lives with the most love and commitment a family could have, in order to honour them both, as that is what their legacy has left us.

Rest in peace now Mum, you will be forever in our hearts, and your amazing personality and love will live on through all of your wonderful grandkids. We will see you everyday through them.

Our Mum, our Nana, our Friend. We will miss you so much.

Thoughts

To, Daniel, Jenny, Scott, Lisa, Ross, Stacie and families. Lorraine and I are so very sad and sorry for the loss your dear mother Marian, who was such a lovely person, character and friend. I myself have known your Mum and the Cody family since I was a small boy at St Peters school and lived around the corner from the Cody home in Dagenham. Lorraine immediately made friends with your Mum when we moved to Hornchurch in 1985, and our eldest children, Daniel and Cheryl were in the same class at St Albans school. Both Scott and Wayne started school at the same time and have remained the best of friends ever since. Lorraine has fond memories of many happy times with your Mum, especially the St Albans school fete days, where they both shared a stall together. Lorraine recalls how the hours went by so fast due to your Mum cracking jokes and at times at the expense of others. We will never forget being invited to the many famous Francis family parties. We were always made welcome and treated as part of the family. Such happy times we shared. Your mother was such a wonderful person, very kind-hearted and had a great sense of humour. When someone loses a friend over time the loss gradually heals. But when someone loses a special and dear friend, no matter how long the time passes the heartache will remain, as will be for the loss of our special and dear friend Marian. She will always and forever have a special place in our hearts. Your Mum is now at peace and back together with your dear Dad, as soul mates once more. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Please accept our sincere heartfelt condolences. Sending you lots of love, Ray, Lorraine and the entire Madden family xx
